About Bill LePage

Bill is a senior business executive who has worked at several Fortune 500 business to business and business to consumer companies. Prior to co-founding Strategic Sales Advisors, he worked in the technology industry at Cisco Systems, the worlds largest networking company. During a 20 year career at Cisco, the company achieved explosive growth from $1 Billion to $48 Billion in revenue. Bill is a results oriented executive and has led large global sales, marketing and sales operations organizations.

As a Sales leader, Bill grew his global sales organization more than 400% from $300 Million to $1.7 Billion in revenue over a four year period. The business model was completely transformed, with sales productivity doubled and the expense to bookings ratio cut in half. Bill also built Cisco’s U.S. field marketing organization from the ground up, which was responsible for marketing strategy and execution for the U.S. field sales force. The result was a rapid response, lead generation engine that produced vertical and horizontal marketing programs which helped generate revenue.

As the Senior Vice President of Sales Operations, Bill was responsible for the support of Cisco’s 18,000 sales professionals carrying more than $47 Billion in sales quota. This organization included Inside sales, virtual pre-sales technical support, training and development, sales compensation planning and design, customer listening, CRM and analytics as well as systems, tools and process. Several of these organizations won industry awards or received recognition from Forbes Magazine, Forrester Research, Ad Age and the Institute for excellence in sales and business development.
